You can install a keyless entry system on any kind of property, whether commercial or residential. First, the hardware has to be installed at every entryway. The system then needs to be configured and controlled through a central console, or through a smartphone application. According to Technavio the world's keyless entry market is expected to expand at an annual growth rate between 2016 and 2022 of 11.8%. The increase in the market is attributed to the growing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.

Many people worry about being locked out of their homes, and so they often leave keys in a secure location. Transponder Chip

The transponder or "chip key" is a microchip which is built into the head of your car keys. It's one of the most important security layers for your vehicle. The term "transponder" is derived from the combination of responder and transmitter which is because, when the key is put into the ignition and turned on, the antenna ring on your car sends a blast of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by transmitting its unique identification code back to the antenna ring. The car's computer then interprets this information and decides whether it's a valid or not.

If the key isn't a transponder the vehicle will be locked. The chip is protected with a polycarbonate layer that stops it from being copied or cloned with regular mechanical keys. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys at less than the price of dealerships selling cars.

In the 1980s, GM began to introduce transponder chips inside the Corvette. The technology dramatically reduced car thefts, as hot-wiring was rendered obsolete. This is a simple explanation of how a chip key works and If you have any questions you can contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser (also known as the anti-theft system) is a key element of your vehicle's security. When you insert the Smart Key or ignition switch into your car, the transponder inside the key sends out a code. The ECU makes sure that the information generated by the chip matches the one that is stored in it prior to it allows the engine to start.

The immobiliser of your car was designed to stop theft in this way. If the code in the chip isn't compatible it, the ECU blocks the flow of current to the fuel pump relay as well as the injection system, preventing the engine from getting started. Additionally the immobiliser could disable the starter motor or the ignition coil to prevent the engine from being started by force.

Unfortunately the system isn't foolproof. Thieves can crack the code used to unlock your car's immobiliser system and then start it. However, the most recent versions of these systems come with a more cryptographic sequences that will be more difficult to figure out.

Since 1998 the immobilisers for cars have become obligatory. However, a majority of vehicles already had rudimentary systems installed. While an immobiliser makes it more difficult to steal a vehicle, it does not stop thieves from towing the car away or breaking in to steal your belongings.
